Dr. Daehyoung “DH” Lee at the University of Delaware is looking to recruit a highly motivated PhD student with an academic background in Kinesiology/Exercise Science/Health Behavior Science or a related field to join the Physical Activity and Technology for All (PATA) lab in the Department of Health Behavior & Nutrition Sciences.

This fully funded Ph.D. position is set to begin in Fall 2024 and includes full tuition benefits (up to 4 years), living stipend, and funded conference travel opportunities. In the PATA lab, we develop and implement health behavior theory-guided mobile health interventions to promote physical activity and sedentary behavior changes in people with disabilities.

Our current work focuses on objectively quantifying physical behaviors of individuals with disabilities using consumer-grade wearable activity trackers as well as medical-grade accelerometers (e.g., ActiGraph GT3X+ & CPIW) and identifying the role of physical activity and sedentary behavior as potential determinants of mental health disparities (e.g., loneliness, anxiety, and depression) in this population.

If you are interested in this position, please contact Dr. DH Lee with your curriculum vitae.
